We seem to play the same style. Give them the ball and try to defend our penalty box. They know this and just coast along until we slip up.

We shud make a better fist of it but the gulf is enormous now

I long for the day they piss off but this super league gives them a chance to get richer and stay.

Is it 84 or 85 since someone other than Rantic won the league ?

There seems to be nothing from the other clubs pressing to change things ......where's the owners shouting for change .....fans certainly want it

I agree that the gulf is too great and their finance will always allow them to be winners in Scotland. That doesn't explain why European clubs with much smaller player budgets consistently beat them. They believe because they only need to be a 50 to 60% to keep winning in Scotland that they are not good enough to give 100% when they need it against foreign opposition. Is it possible to improve basic skill levels and football control in a senior player in Scotland? Genuine question, cos that seems to me to be the only way that our team will ever improve sufficiently to challenge for top 3.

In my opinion the only way for players to improve their basic skill levels and football control is to work on them during and after training sessions have taken place. The top golfers practice to improve their golfing ability so why not professional footballers.

Golfers don't train to perform at a sport they practise to play a game.

Surely you understand that training for a footballer takes significantly more effort, is significantly more specialised, targets significantly more areas of fitness and performance and requires significantly more rest time than practise for a golfer does? It also doesn't end at the end of training for footballers as they then have to think about things such as how they eat and when they eat. Golfers don't have a requirement to reach close to the same level of athleticism and control that footballers and other athletes do so maybe they have more time and energy to try to improve their game?

I'd argue that most pro golfers are very fit.

Most have very rigorous weight routines.

I'd also argue most serious amateur golfers are probably fitter than Sunday morning level amateur football players.
