The relative merits of the squad is up for debate.
What's unarguablye is that we're hopelessly underachieving .

    Where to flocking start
Repeatedly playing a back 3/5, which leaks goals while the "best" centre half sits on the bench, when we should be playing forward players attacking teams.
"Whoever" has the hump with Barron so our "best" midfielder also sits on the bench.
    No flocking width
    Absolute PYSH

Players like Clarkson and Duk have shown last season they are much better than what we are seeing now. The manager instructing the defence to fire howitzers over the top of them to chase is a huge part of the problem. Drop Ruby and go to a flat back four, start Shinnie on the bench as hasn't got the legs for 90 minutes any more, start with Polvara instead and push Clarkson into the number 10 role and you then have a midfield that can control and pass a ball. Play Duk wide left and Morris wide right and give us a some width to fire crosses into Miovski to feast on.

Use the window to bring in a left back and another winger that is an upgrade on Morris and ideally another defensive midfielder (assuming Barron is leaving) and then any competent manager will have a team that will win the majority of games we will play against the rest of the dross we come up against.

Can we all just take a moment to remember those posters who MONTHS ago said Robson wasn't the answer and he was on a shoogly peg continuously. Those same posters were ridiculed on here and made to feel that our opinions were nonsense.

Let's just take a moment to remember those posters shall we.

I can honestly say that in living memory there hasn't been a worse team than this one, the teams of Ebbe that got scudded 7-0 off Celtic repeatedly would tear this bunch of charlatans a new one.

I've never been so disinterested in AFC and it's all down to one man and one man alone, Barry Robson. Take a bow Barry you've broken me when even McInnes and his tedium couldn't, when even McGhee and his 9-0 couldn't, when Goodwin had his Darvel madness. You've got me seriously considering whether to do what other posters have on here and just give up on AFC because there is simply no ambition in the club and they're not even accepting mediocrity, they're HOPING for mediocrity!

If Robson isn't gone tonight, not tomorrow or the day after but tonight then AFC are showing that results AND performances such as today are the norm and more fool us for believing we could actually be a serious challenge for trophies.

So basically, bring in a bunch of new players and change out a bunch of the others cause they’re pish.

    No argument from me…
