    Talk of the toon

First visit to tynecastle in a while.

Despite it being a lot of folks favoured away ground, I've never liked it.

Was trying to think back and last time I was there........probably in the Italians time at Dens.

Was there last day of season and Scottish cup game around that time.

Don't think it's a ground I've seen us win at.

Hopefully change tomorrow but tough game.

I'm pretty confident we won't lose there tomorrow

I dont go to many away grounds now, but been to Tynecastle many times,
best games were the 7- 1 win in the sixties, Jim Mcanally scoring the goal that kept us in the league when Archie Knox was the manager.
worst was getting beat from the dabs in the Scottish cup semi final, when we had played really well.

I was at a Scottish Cup tie at Tynecastle in March 1975 which ended in a draw. I think it was 1-1 and w won the replay.
Incidentally the Scottish Education Department introduced a new maths book which commenced in August 1965.
A Hibs supporter must have been involved in insetting it up as included in it was a list of Scottish football results from a random Saturday which happened to be when Dundee defeated Hearts 7-1 at Tynecastle in January 1965.
Kilmarnock detested Hearts 2-0 on the last day of the 1964-65 at Tynecastle to win the First Division championship on goal average.
If Dundee had only defeated Hearts 2-1 instead of 7-1 Hearts would have won the First Division championship that season.

And if it had been goal difference instead of goal average then Hearts would have been champions.
