If Williams saw fit to make a tactical sub in the first half, there’s no way he wouldn’t put an arm around the players involved and explain why.
Felt sorry for that player. Got subbed off on 30 mins, was forced off the other side by the ref and made to walk past a goading kop, to then have your manager ignore you, I'd be asking Shrewsbury to recall me and send me elsewhere

You could easily run out of superlatives in describing that performance. Dominant in possession, solid at the back and ruthless in front of goal. That's the performance we've been so close to pulling off a number of times this season but haven't stayed the course so it's great to see it come off.

Let's hope we can maintain this level as we push on to the closing half of the season.

Magpies1959, I'm really sorry to hear your diagnosis and hope everything works out as best it can.

It was a sublime performance from Notts today with so many players interchanging their positions, seamlessly. It was a very emotional game for me, on the day it was confirmed I have liver cancer, at best.

Very sorry to heat that, Magpies1959.

When a member of my family was dealing with cancer, a specialist said we should never underestimate the power of positive thinking when it comes to fighting this horrible disease. He said in the many cases he'd seen, there was absolutely no doubt in his mind that those sufferers who decided to wake up each day with an optimistic outlook and a fighting spirit achieved the best outcomes, and that this in turn inspired the doctors/specialists themselves to be ambitious in their thinking around possible treatments. His message was basically "give us everything you've got, and we'll do the same".

Hopefully Notts can play their part in lifting your spirits also, with more performances like last night!

Just got home from being away and watched the highlights. What a result and how good is Macca just off the front, a revelation. We said after the Stockport game you could see they were back even though we lost, seems like things are on the up again. Time for a charge for automatic. Come on you pies!

Great to see Macca being allowed to roam as he sees fit instead of to-ing and fro-ing, lefting and righting, waving and waiting for the long pass that never came. He's more than just a goal-hanger.

Anyone notice the ref was the Premier League's Robert Madley? I know he's had a chequered past, and the PGMOL dropped him but I thought he'd been reinstated to the Prem?

His brother is in Select Group 1 but he's only in Select Group 2 so Championship level and below.

And best thoughts 59. I hope there are many more adventures (and some promotions) to come.
