Bt I cannot disagree with you it was just a thought hoping to attract other thoughts and opinions. The short contracts are not the answer as you say but may be needs must, especially when I read Foster is leaving

Totally agree Alf but I wondered if anyone had any ideas because VK seems to have no real judgement of a player

They had conceded 43 goals in 20 games before he went there. In his 17 appearances that season they conceded just 20 goals and scored 20, three of which were scored by Chris. His defensive work played a very big part in their improvement with lots of aerial duels won.
I had Toon's defensive improvement down to Pope but I concede Wood was good at defending set pieces.

Nick didn't leave us until the end of that season after we had been relegated. Chris left us in the January window when Newcastle paid the necessary release fee.

After watching Odobert and Koleosho in action I would have to disagree with you on that one Lancy.

I hold my hand up sub, you're right again as per. I shouldn't have contradicted the Oracle.

No need to hold anything up because I do keep stats and remember stuff reasonably well, however, I do get things wrong occasionally except when playing a muscial instrument in public lol.

We actually NEED to go back to the Championship so some of these players can man-up a bit.

You've got good young players who are getting invaluable experience - but if you want to stay up you need Santos from Bolton at the back - bargain at say £20 mill
Seriously though, keep the faith in VK - I think he's doing fine without breaking the bank and already there are signs of improvement which bode well for the second half of the season.
