Remember going to Roker Park, can't remember the year, Barnes scored for us in a 1 1 draw, both teams near top of division 3, what an atmosphere with the Roker roar!!

I was there too, absolutely brilliant day and the Barnes goal superb - always a favourite player and great to see son Harvey do so well. I don’t remember many specific games over the years but that one I do.

I was there with a Sunderland mate in their home stand. Deafening sound but had to remain pretty quiet when Barnes scored.

Not sure if it was the Sunderland or Middlesbrough fans that had a hardcore that ran amok at most grounds but I remember them getting in our faces around then.
