    Message from the Bros

    https://www.nottscountyfc.co.uk/news...essage-311223/

Our owners Chris and Alex Reedtz have issued a new year’s message to supporters.

As we exit a record-breaking 2023 and enter what promises to be an equally exciting 2024, we would like to wish our fans a very happy new year and thank them for their invaluable support.

The year we leave behind will always be remembered as the one in which we regained our place in the Football League following a relentless title race and an incredible play-off campaign which culminated in victory at Wembley.

But 2023 will also forever be associated with the loss of our much-loved chief executive, Jason Turner, who thoroughly deserved to be involved in our celebrations. Our thoughts continue to be with Jason’s loved ones as we all contemplate a new year without him.

Following our promotion, the latter part of the year has been one of transition as we prepared for, and adapted to, life in the EFL.

Our clear aim from the beginning of this new chapter was to assemble another competitive squad whilst also driving the club forward off the field.

Crucial to the latter was the appointment of our new chief executive, Joe Palmer, who has already put his wealth of football and business experience to good use with the improvement of stadium facilities, development of commercial strategy and much more. We’re excited to see how Joe and his team’s work can support the club’s journey towards sustainability in the future.

On the field, our fantastic head coach Luke Williams has done a brilliant job of integrating our new signings into the tight-knit group of players he guided to promotion from the National League.

Luke’s tremendous efforts mean we are entering the new year in an excellent position to compete for promotion to League One and we’d like to thank him, his staff and players for everything they continue to do.

The team’s performance so far is all the more impressive when you consider we lost Matt Palmer, Cedwyn Scott and Geraldo Bajrami to long-term injuries early on in the season and, with the transfer window set to open, it’s very much our intention to support Luke with additions to his squad.

Alongside our recruitment team, led by Richard Montague, we have been working very hard to prepare for the month ahead and have already welcomed central midfielder Scott Robertson from Fleetwood Town.

Supporters are quite rightly excited about what could be achieved this season and are therefore understandably keen for us to be proactive in the transfer market. We share their views but, as always, kindly ask for patience as we seek out the very best deals for the club at what is a challenging time of year.

Conversely, there’s sure to be interest and speculation over a number of our own high-performing players in the weeks ahead. However, we can assure fans that we have no intention of selling anyone unless we believe the benefits of doing so are too great for the club to ignore.

We know our approach is appreciated by supporters who believe that maintaining a sustainable and well-run club is the key to achieving long-term success on the field, while also ensuring Notts County is around to play a major role in the lives of generations of fans in the future.

Safe travels to everyone heading to Tranmere and we look forward to sharing another exciting year with you all as we continue to strive for improvement across all areas of the club.

    Chris and Alex

    They're the best.
And I hope fans heed the call for "patience" in the transfer window.

They really are. Everything they say is just grounded in common sense and decency - not things to be taken for granted these days.

    Steady, level-headed, consistent, honest, realistic.

Everything we have been missing from our owners for gawd'knows how many years.

Very disappointed with the message. Where is the power point presentation?
