If a player is sent out on loan then he will receive the exact salary he’s contracted to at the parent club albeit - it could be part funded by the parent club ie 50/50. So Sarmiento would not have gained a better deal. Sarmiento was selected to start in all the last games for us so don’t think that’s the issue. There’s less chance of Sarmiento being selected for Ipswich to start than ourselves as they have more quality.
Honestly think the issue would be financial on our part! Of course Corberon would have wanted him as we are down to the bare bones.
Fair play to Ipswich signing him as whilst they were poor against us - they have been consistently good - have quality players plus a great manager and are showing ambition.
What’s our ambition - Adam Reach now to get more starts! I can see Mowatt leaving soon and who would blame him….
If Jeremy happens upon this site here's a few insights for you regarding your apparent lack of game time. You missed most of your pre season due to injury, it took you a while to get up to speed and once you got up to speed you got injured again.
So you weren't available for selection when we were ropey, you were then kept out of the side by established players who actually began to deliver before you were in sync' with what your coach wanted from you, and when your team mates in turn got injured and you were in sync' you got your chance.
Two goals and no assists while flattering to deceive later you have a much better idea of what it means to play in the Championship for a tactically astute coach who asked more of you than tearing forward while looking good for a YouTube compilation video who doesn't bow to 'but I want' attitudes.
Ta very much for leaving us in the s hit when we have an injury crisis at the same time as losing an option in your position to the AFCON you ungrateful, spoilt yet undoubtedly potentially really good player which you aren't yet who decided to leave when the going got hot.
Carlos outlines the work they put into him , reading between the lines he is pi$$ed off with both the player and Brighton .

Brighton have an injury crisis so if he was any good he would be back playing there. Quite simply - he's not a Premier player!
We certainly are not anywhere near a Leicester and many would say a mid table championship player and he didn't shine for us! First touch was poor and to be honest he's not any better than Grady and he's s hite most of the time!
Adios
I think he may come to regret his decision to move away from us.
I don’t mind young talented hopefuls using us as a stepping stone but there has to be mutual respect.
Another one of life’s takers it appears.
