Just because it’s sparkling and new ….

We seem to be linked with a host of players in positions where we have decent youngsters but rather than give the existing players a go we seem to be chasing something new.

The latest two are a centre back (does that mean Cooper is on his way out?) and a GK whilst Darlow is injured.

We have in various positions, the following:

Klaessen - signed as a real prospect and did play at the weekend
Cresswell - forced his way to being a regular at Millwall and plays for England at junior levels - looked v good on debut in the premier league v West Ham
Hjelde - mooted at the next Van Dyke when we signed him and was great on loan at Rotherham
    Bate
Joffy - has scored in the prem and was a regular last year at Sunderland
Perkins (now back from loan) - hugely rated youngster and saved us in the FA Cup last year
Joseph - tearing up trees for the u21 and an England regular
McGurk - player of the season so far for the U21
Allen - still very young but filling out and looks quality

All of those were signed as potential first team players yet instead of promoting them they seem stuck in the waiting room. If they have things to be worked on work on them but FFS Farke and team must surely be tasked with developing and bringing through what we have rather than always looking to the transfer market where we have strength. Not saying it is easy but there seems to be no coherent strategy with how those players have a route to being involved with the first team on the actual pitch.

The players have been at the club for long enough for strengths and weaknesses to be understood - not clear how the club works on the weaknesses.

Gray, Summerville and Gnonto (when allowed to play) have all shown that if you are good enough you are old enough.

Please please please let us have a new left back by the end of the week but also don’t waste the talent we have at the club.

Not sure why "it's a shame about Gray"? He may be being played out of position, bur he is making a pretty impressive fist of it nonetheless. Who knows, he might even be a right-sided 21st century equivalent to his great uncles wingman, Terry Cooper??

That might be because he is, well, a creative midfielder…

    Get him back there asap!

Djed Spence sent back to Spurs. Rumor is that Farke was not happy with him for some reason.

Loathe though I am to reply to your post directly, having declared I would never do so, I am forced to abandon that declaration this time, only because you have articulated precisely the same argument I have put forward on many occasions. over many years and under a variety of previous owners,, that we have youth players worthy of 1st team gametime, and, if they are good enough, they are old enough.

    Enough of the bonne homie.

He wasn't impressive when he played (no better that Firpo and less effective than he was going forward), and getting rid frees up a place for either a LUFC youth player or a newcomer (prefer the former, accepting it might well be the latter).

So needy, so self obsessed, never overlooks the opportunity to be a cnut- we know who you are - you don’t need to keep on relentlessly proving it.
