    Brooks Goes On Loan

Tiernan Brooks has joined National League side Rochdale on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old goalkeeper will be looking to further his experience with the play-off contenders after his recent spell at Cork City was frustratingly hampered by an injury sustained on his debut.

Head of Goalkeeping, Tom Weal, said: “This is exactly the move Tiernan needs at this stage of his development and he’s really excited.

“Choosing his next loan has been a careful process as we feel it’s really important for him to gain match experience at a club who have a similar playing style to ours, which can be particularly demanding for goalkeepers.

“This is a great opportunity for Tiernan to prove himself capable of performing consistently at a good level, and for us to track his progress closely with a view to establishing how he fits into our plans for next season.”

    Tiernan Brooks to Rochdale

On loan for the rest of the season. Good luck to the lad and we should be able to gauge how ready he is to be our No 1 next season after his time there.

This is a really good move for him. If he establishes himself and impresses in their team it will make for quite a compelling case for selection here next season.

Absolutely. Let’s hope he gets lots of game time and isn’t stuck on the bench every week. Great chance for him to show what he can do.

Rochdale’s previous loan keeper’s been sent to Northampton. If I was TB I’d be wondering what I had to do to get a chance at Notts.

I don't understand this. If he's good enough for Rochdale then surely he's good enough for us.
