Poor comparison boss. After all, Man Utd compete with Citeh, Chelsea and a whole host of clubs that spend millions.
Your boys like Stockport the year before had a financial advantage which allowed you to get players too good for the National League and even in L2. It’s not a dig or even jealousy, it’s a fact that you were able to go out and get essentially any player (with in reason) you wanted. No one in the National League could compete with that, not even us. We landed on our feet with players like Macca and Jodie Jones.

Not to keen regarding the radio silence from the club and the clubs social accounts, owners and staff must know and see the fans are becoming a bit restless regarding the new man coming in and all the rumours flying around especially the warnock ones.
The brothers or club could at least release a statement to the fans with an update on how the search is commencing.
Less than 2 weeks left of the window and we have a non league defence that needs addressing and not even a gaffer and no sign of one anytime soon.

Luke Williams said that he had no input into recruitment so there's no reason to think squad strengthening is on hold until we get a new manager. Potenial new players will presumably be waiting to see what offers they get from more than one club, so the timescales are out of Notts' hands.

As for the manager, what can the club tell us? The recruitment process is progressing is about as much as they could say, which is obvious really. As for the rumours, people will always start them. There's no point in taking any notice of them is there, certainly if the last 2 appointments are anything to go by? We've just got to wait and see. I'm happy to find out who it is when they get announced.

Is anyone becoming restless? I'm not.i think we all understand appointing a manager is an important process where corners should not be cut.It's not like going out and buying a pint of milk.

The Warnock ones not a rumour as such, Paul Mace had just said Warnock had let it be known on the grapevine he would be open to coming in short term, whether we take him up on it is another matter, same with all the applicants.

I’d stay away from the bookies on this one. Our last 2 managerial appointments were so left field that they didn’t appear in betting odds until it was practically a done deal.
Whoever comes in will be under pressure and the shadow of LW. It will be a tough gig.
I hope we somehow have a man in place before Grimsby. It gives him a little time before a tough run, but more importantly a chance to look at the squad and discuss any glaring gaps. Particularly if he wants to move away from 3 at the back.
