Can Queens trade in the recently opened window and realistically does it mean off loading some of our current squad? If so who should we ditched now as it will be so difficult to attract the level of players we need?

Far too difficult to ascertain Spike. That depends on a raft of issues: who's on a 12 month contract etc etc.
Let's deal with the requirements: Queens could do with 2 or perhaps 3 much bigger, stronger players. Ideally one up front, - one in the middle of the park who can dictate play, - and possibly another defender.
I'd be happy with just 2 added players: a big, strong target man who can take the pressure of wee Lee and the rest, - and simply lay the ball off to them; and someone to replace Mimnaugh who was such a huge loss to us, - therefore having someone brought in to create from midfield would be very helpful.
For all the criticisms of the squad, the addition of the aforementioned 2 players could transform the way we play.
There is no doubt an overhaul of the squad is required as is clearly highlighted by our current league position. Unfortunately it is very doubtful that we are in a position to attract a better quality player than the ones we have. In an ideal world, 2 competent full backs, an inventive midfielder and a proven striker at this level please. Shame we don't always get what we want!
Two loanees signed yesterday. Joel Mumbongo, a striker, who has previously played at a high level with Burnley and Tranmere but seems to have had a torrid time at Accies before being loaned out to Queens. He is being hammered on social media but so would have Dobbie been given his record before joining Queens. Let's hope that Marvin can get Joel producing the form which propelled him to the high level of his earlier career.
Also signed was Max Kilsby ,a left sided defender, on loan from Carlisle. A young highly rated who is regarded as being versatile.
Welcome to Palmerston and hope that you can both help Queens to get that playoff slot.
Kilsby played at Annan last year
