My concern is that Cardiffs biggest threat [From what little ive seen of them] tends to come down their right wing where we will have Walkabout Firpo, backed up probably by ever so slow - Coops! That combination struggled against a very poor Birmingham side - and needed Rodon on about three occasions to come accross from the right to clear up after them both.

We seldom do anything against them anyway - so my gut feeling is that they will pressure our left and be well up for their "Cup final" - they are also a big side so set pieces against us could also prove crucial.

One thing is for certain, if they DO beat us i'll be putting £20 on them losing their next game!

On the thread topic, I think Firpo will be called upon to play left back at Cardiff. I think Farke will play Gray at right back. I think Spence would have been good at right back as that is his natural position, but now he is back at Spurs and Ayling is gone, we now have a hole to fill that we didn't have 2 weeks ago. I suspect Byram is not that far off fitness. I think the bigger question is does Farke start Barndoor Bamford? Bamford, Rutter and Piroe cannot all start. I am inclined to start Rutter and Barndoor, but Rutter has not played much with Bamford. Different type of striker to Piroe. I just don't know. My guess is Farke will decide based on opposition, which combination would hurt them more.
Rutter has played wide and that might be an option if really needed - interesting comments from Farke in the presser not least about Joffy.

Still a bit bemused with how we pull our youngsters through - City, Liverpool and Man U all seem to find ways to accommodate them.

Yes we have played Gray (but latterly out of position) but there are 4 or 5 others that are just standing still.

Think he will go with Shackleton at RB potentially.

    Meslier

    Byram
    Rodon
    Ampadu
    Firpo

    Gray
    Kamara

    Summerville
    Georginio
    James

    Bamford

Think the starting line up cold be something like that...suppose it depends who is available and will Byram be fit enough to start?
