    Cardiff - Hells Cauldron !

    Owner;
    Vincent Tan was MD for McDonald's Malaysia in 1982 before becoming the founder of the Berjaya Corporation.

    The Berjaya Corporation controls a wide array of businesses in consumer marketing, property development, investment & hotels.

    Success with Berjaya Corporation Tan now has a personal net worth of $695m, according to Forbes 2023.

    Tan relinquished his role as CEO of this group in 2021 to focus on "philanthropy" but still holds a non-executive role as Deputy chairman & Tan still holds a stake in U Mobile a 4G mobile-phone operator in Malaysia.

    Tan's plans to rebrand the club were widely criticised by supporters as Cardiff's home shirt was briefly changed from blue to red 😱 so his tenure has been quite controversial since 2010 with sackings of many Coaches & club executives.

    Its most recent set of accounts show the Bluebirds' total debt stood at £123.4m for the year ending May 31, 2022, with the majority of this owed to owner Vincent Tan & his family.

    Stadium;
    Their 33,280 stadium replaced Ninian Park as their home in 2009 & is managed by Cardiff City Stadium Ltd which is owned by Cardiff City Football Club Holdings Ltd.
    As the second largest arena in Wales the Stadia is also home to a conference & exhibition centre.
    Both grounds were horrible places to visit in truth, inside & outside the stadia has quite hostile elements congregated. A shame as "part" of the city is nice & relaxing to visit.

    Our 3,213 allocation sold out for the 226 mile, 4 hour trip from ER on a reciprocal deal.
    £21 - Adults.
    £16 - Seniors 60+
    £11-16 to 21 years.
    £9 - Juniors under 16 years.
    12 Wheelchair spaces priced at.
    £18* Adults.
    £14 - Seniors 60+
    £11-16 to 21 years.
    £8 - Juniors under 16 years.
    (Sadly they charge for accompanied* carers. At ER they are FOC).

    Coach;
    Erol Bulut was appointed June 2023 as Manager, with owner Tan describing him as having ''the standard of managerial experience we've not had before.''

    The former Fenerbahce boss, who had made waves in the Turkish League plays the 4-2-3-1 system.

    Cardiff top players stats.

    Tan says Bulut's background & European pedigree will enable Cardiff to start attracting a higher calibre of player again 😯 whilst the Bluebirds hierarchy were looking to have their EFL transfer embargo overtutrned.

    Cardiff were placed under an EFL embargo because they defaulted on payment of the transfer fee for the late Emiliano Sala. The embargo had been due to run until summer 2024, but has "now been cut" by one window so Cardiff were "extremely pleased" with the decision.

    Cardiff history;
    Cardiff (in Welsh Caerdydd) is located within the historic county of Glamorgan (Morgannwg) on the Bristol Channel at the mouth of the River Taff, 150 miles (240 km) west of London.
    The Romans built a small fort there in the 1st century. In 1150 a stone* keep took its place & later years saw it renovated to a turreted castle with spectacular medieval towers & spires added in the late 19th & now is one of the finest surviving examples of its type in the country.
    Cardiff Castle with its attached extensive parkland is opposite the city centre & a great place to visit with great parklands too.

    Cardiff grew rapidly from the 1830s onwards when the Marquess of Bute built a dock, which eventually linked to the Taff Vale Railway allowing Cardiff to become the main port for coal exports.
    The administration of the coal trade remained centred on Cardiff, in particular its Coal Exchange where the price of coal on the British market was determined & where the first million-pound deal was struck in 1907.
    Bomb damage in the Cardiff Blitz of World War II included the devastation of Llandaff Cathedral &
    as the city was rebuilt it became the capital city of Wales in 1955.
    Now with its old docks turned into a trendy commerce area it has many new towers of flats too.

    Recently been watching a few games sat behind the goal & getting a different perspective of the games my brother plays in.
    The movements off the ball continually at pace in front of him really surprised me.

    Always been fascinated by "free flowing" movement whether watching it, photography of it & often trying to replicate it via various painting techniques.

    When watching the football high-pressing, possession based play & it's counter-attacking free flowing strategies that have now become synonymous with success, is basically when fully anaylised pure "tactical-simplicity."

    But the concentration levels of players has to be spot on for sure, especially keepers in their unobstructed & wide view of an extensive area in all directions at all times.

    Goalkeeping at its best is a showcasing of individual artistry, creativity & usage of individual athletic gifts that can make it so ebullient to watch at games.
    Yes, all teams have srengths but most have weaknesses, therefore tactics cater to getting the most out of the players without exposing their weaknesses but of course obviously there are always ways.

    So - a WARNING for our young keeper Kristoffer Klaesson now in the spotlight.

    Cardiff at the time of writing are the top goalscorers from corner kicks in the EFL Championship with 10 goals, far ahead of any rivals.
    Six teams come in second place with half of this number, namely Swansea, Bristol City, Coventry City, Stoke, Leicester City, Leeds United & Norwich City.

    Gonna be an intimidating atmosphere if 30,000 Welsh voices start singing "Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau" if they score from a corner. 😬

    So i hope we've been working on their attacking corners & set-piece plays & that Herr Farkes aware that in Cardiff on Saturday we'll have low cloud & freezing conditions to contend with plus fans who really hate us whatever ground they play us on.

    Rio Ferdinand famously branded Cardiff fans as one of the most hostile places he had ever played football in when Cardiff downed then PL Leeds back in 2002.

    When asked if he feared playing in Turkey with Leeds in 2003, Ferdinand replied: "No, you forget I played at Ninian Park Cardiff last season, the most hostile ground in the world!"
    After 4 visits myself seeing Leeds lose at Cardiff - he sure aint kidding.

    Their home form seems similar to our away form - could be interesting.

    Yes, could be tough for the younger lads. Could also be tough for the Welsh lads in our team: Ampadu, Rodon and James.
    Did you know that Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau is the first national "anthem" ever sung at a sporting occasion? It was rugby. When the welsh played the All Blacks sometime around the 1900 - 1910. To negate the intimidation of the All Blacks hakka, a welsh player beckoned the fans to sing it. Of course, every welsh person knew it.

    If the LUFC 1st 11 are in any way shape or form intimidated by the collective sheep-sh4aggers who constitute Cardiff "supporters" then they may as well not get on the bus. ER would eat the f00kers alive, spit the inedible bits out and bale for more!

    Sorry but I can't see beyond a Leeds defeat, going back to when that obnoxious little dwarf, Sam hammam, incited the crowd that day to present day we never do well there, another one of our many bogey teams.
