Yep a 2 goal advantage does it. Obviously Bolton will have 2 in hand but we can really get close to Portsmouth.

A useful 3 pts but hey not for the faint hearted!!! Still its a good omen that we keep sneaking wins rather than draws!!

Defence looked nervous. He’s done what I praised him recently for not doing, fiddled ‘his’ players into the team come what May. Elder no better than Fozzy, Vickers worse than Wildsmith

One point off top, I don't think anyone expected this!

No harm in squad rotation, was a busy December and so to January. That's what squads are for....

I’m not a fan of rotating keepers especially good ones for less good ones.

We like to make it hard.

Funny though..we have the best , I think, goal scoring record in the last few minutes so the only thing that comes to mind as we score the winner.
Its happening again, its happening again..

Agree Wildsmith better than Vickers, don't agree that elder is 'no better' than fozzy..Fozzy is better, for me fozzy has been one of our better players this season..

2 pts a game average, not sure when we last did that. We definitely need more options though, injuries are hitting hard.

Not sure if that’s the rationale but it’s certainly the reality. Elder was just poor last night and I have far more confidence in Wildsmith than Vickers.
We weren’t exactly lucky because we should have been out of sight before they scored as a direct result of a foul on NML. Neither were we convincing and central midfield was again weak.

Expect Smith and A.N. Other to arrive very shortly.

Opinions elsewhere online (amongst those who offer a considered view, jeez there are some keyboard warriors) seem to agree that Vickers and Elder are a backward step. I’m just offering an explanation, it may be way off beam. If you see Bradley shoe horned into the starting lineup it’s more likely I’m right

If that happens you’ll be right and we’ll both be worried.
Still not sure if we just got a bit complacent after the second last night or we were a little bit out managed in the second half. Think we were fortunate that Seddon had to go off even though he should have been booked mid way through the first half imo.

P.S. Good to see Mason Bennett back at Pride Park...playing for the opposition! God he was rubbish.
