I genuinely can’t follow the thinking at times.

On another thread the majority agreed that we have been robbed of a possible 10 points by the officials and VAR. With those 10 points we would be in 14th and be doing well.

Neither VK nor the players can do anything about the officials and VAR.

Yes, we breezed the Championship, but does anyone on here seriously expect us to breeze the PL? Yes we have reportedly spent £100 million on players. Some of the PL teams now have players that cost £100 million each.

Under Garlic we all bemoaned the lack of investment in the squad. I don’t think that criticism can be levelled at ALK.

There were a couple of years when Garlick did invest in the squad, around 2016-19, it wasn't big money by PL standards, but it was serious money by our standards and he didn't put the club in debt to do it either, Brady, Cork, Wood, Hendrick, Defour, Taylor, Gibson, Vydra, Rodriguez must have cost us around £100 million at least. Then, for reasons which are now obvious, the Dry Powder Store was locked up and the key thrown away.

I'm not convinced that ALK have invested in the squad, they held a fire sale of players and they had to be replaced, as far as I can tell the incomings were financed by the outgoings and Vinni has stated that he had no access to Parachute Money to sign players. Money has been spent, players brought in, but in my book it's not 'investment' in the accepted sense or meaning of the word.

A lot of those investments are looking like bad ones at the moment Sinkov.
