None. A savage indictment of the youth policy, there arnt any, not even for the first team. You have to admire it though, the over achievement, its like Ramsgate playing in the national league.

There are several clubs in the Isthmian prem league with regular 4 figure gates, one with 2,000 plus every home game. There must be hundreds of younsters in the united youth teams, none are good enough.

And the few that are sign for Chelsea, before getting near the first team, if they ever do.

The youth teams must cost, and provides nowt, why bother? All it does is provide the fun, and an occasional trip to the continent for tournaments. But thats what United want, having the craic.

A hard headed youth coach would put an end to that, the reason for being is creating footballers, not jollys to Eindhoven. If it is, say so.

I reckon af all the youngsters united have got, you might get a team of players with genuine talent, maybe not. Even then, like in the past, they may not want to be footballers.

Keep paying out though.
