Then again knowing the council I wouldn't be at all surprised if this gets passed............

As Pat Reilly's Dundee Hibs struggled to emerge as a second force in the city, the Dundee FC directors and their friends in the local media did everything possible to discourage and prevent what became Dundee United FC.

Times have changed but you can't expect our very struggle for existence to be easily forgotten.

What is this nugget of information you are on about, and did it get to sending in a planning application?

I find this totally cringe , in fact its a bit of a minter .

This wont go down well but Lets be honest here , if this was our club looking to move to a new modern set up that came with additional benefits outwith the football side of things the VAST majority of us, including id hazard a guess many who are apparently outraged by the Dee's doing it , would be quite happy this was going ahead , in fact we would be excited by it.

This feigned outrage at an area of ground being built on ( if that's actually even the case ) or the the fact a section of the kingsway might be busy for an hour of a Saturday night at 5pm is giving me a total minter on behalf of all fellow arabs.

What it is in reality , is a section of our fans p*ssed off that the Fun are looking like actually getting their house in order for the first time in living memory.

There's no doubt this will benefit them as a club which obviously isn't great but I also personally believe this will be a very good thing for the city and as a Dundonian feel I need to take my tangerine specs off and look at the bigger picture here .

I'll go further and say I'm with Jim Spence on this one , a ground share of this new stadium wouldn't be the worst idea.

I think we need to let them get on with it and concentrate our energy on the current sh*t-show at our own club rather than being bothered about what that lot are doing across the road .

Very good post - don't agree with ground sharing though.

If Dundee, (or whoever) manage to pull this off , fair dooz, but please don't include us in it. We are happy where we are, so I believe.

Agree , we have to get OUR act in order before focussing on anything else. But...ground share, away out in a big remote park? Nah... no for me like. Unless yir fae Charleston...

I'd agree with all of this, except the groundshare. Really couldn't care what they do or where they do it. It's actually quite depressing seeing them plan for a new stadium whilst we're begging fans to help sort ours.
