You just never know with Queens especially against higher ranking sides but it would be a hell of a shock.

The way I see it this is the best time to be playing a top 6 side. They have had 3 weeks off and will be ring rusty.
We have been playing and might have big Brandon back tomorrow.
We have done really well against better sides, Queens park, Motherwell and Dundee United.
They will be righting us off. We have nothing to loose. Get at therm from the start and let's hope for another Mcguffie wander strike.

Perhaps stating the bleeding obvious, but if we can thwart the St Mirren attack until half time, the home crowd will become anxious and potentially affect a team who haven't played for a few weeks.
We managed to keep out the Dundee Utd forwards, albeit miraculously at times, so a backs to the wall first 45, even 60 minutes, then release Gibson and co to have a real go at the Saints defence.
There is a danger that St Mirren could put 3 or 4 past us in the first 20 minutes and kill off the tie, and they will know we are vulnerable in the first quarter of any match.

Usual rubbish from a manager who seems intent on making football a lot more complicated than it needs to be.

We miss Gav, of course, but having given Hutchison the last two starts and a chance to get even close to match fitness he leaves him out and plays the eternally unfit Doherty who himself hasn’t started a game for weeks.

    Clown.

Why does it always take to goal a goal down and then several minutes of sitting on the pot wondering what to do, to actually make changes in the 85th minute? What does he expect to happen in those last few seconds of a game?

Maybe he was happy with a credible defeat

Jock you are 100% correct........to have got to the 70th minute and kept the score 0-0 was an absolute miracle, but to have no shots on target was embarrassing. Clearly changes should have been gradually implemented from the 55th minute to keep the SPL side second guessing and therefore always on the back foot.
Walker couldn't score in a brothel, but his pace demands attention, as does McKechnie, and they should have been brought on well before the breakthrough.

On paper 1-0 against a very decent SPL side is a credible, if not incredible result, but the picture was far from pretty.

Why oh why can Marvin, who can talk for Europe on football management not see what is staring the vast majority of us in the face?
If you have 5 substitutes - and you're going nowhere, make use of them as early as possible. There's no point in waiting until the game is virtually over.

We are out of the premium cup competition for another season, and we may well have been anyway, but I'd have loved to see the panic on the Buddies' faces if those subs had been brought on at 5 minute intervals.

Only a clown of a manager would not make use of the players at his disposal.....but then who cares, we are only the fans after all.......just idiots who pay their money to keep coming every week.......We have no right to have another opinion to our supreme managerial God.

I started this thread with "thoughts"......I conclude with a plea for action in front of goal. Having no shots on target in 90 minutes is derisible, and we must make amends or our season will wither on the vine.

Bartley isn’t the man for the job IMO. His signings , team selections and game plans are all rotten.

Anyone seen or heard from the BOD’s recently ?
