Bournemouth v Swansea (FA Cup Fourth Round)

Bournemouth v Swansea (FA Cup Fourth Round) Thurs 25 Jan 19:45
Three steps away from Wembley for the winner, Fifth, Quarter, Semi. Probably steps too far for us but it’s all extra income for the club
    Fourth Round winners £120k
    Fifth Round winners £225k
    Quarter winners £500k
    Semi winners £1m
    Final winner £2m
Gate money per round 45% each club, not much though with Bournemouth’s 11,300 capacity ground.
Plus TV income as match is shown live on S4C, S4C Clic, BBC iPlayer and Sgorio’s YouTube, with English and Welsh commentary option.
The earlier rounds are usually a chance to rotate the squad but with no league match until the following Tuesday when we travel to leaders Leicester, I would pick our best players and go for it.
Bournemouth have been in good form lately, even beating Man Utd 0-3 at Old Trafford, but stumbled last Saturday losing 0-4 at home to league leaders Liverpool.

Jamal Lowe injured from the Southampton game, out for a month.
He wouldn’t have played this match anyway as he is on loan from Bournemouth, still a blow for us though.

Close your eyes those Swans fans of a nervous disposition and if you haven’t heard the score, big rant coming up.

    Bournemouth 5 (Kelly7’, Scott 10’, Sinisterra 14’, Brooks 35’, Solanke 44’) - Swansea 0

Swans players ought to be ashamed of themselves after that shocking performance. Their defending was shambolic and amateurish, their commitment was zero.
Bournemouth had struggled to beat lowly QPR in the last round and had just lost 0-4 at home to Liverpool last Saturday. They made five changes from that team due to injuries yet proceeded to cut through our defence like butter, we made them look like Brazil.
The goalkeeping disaster Fisher was frozen again, Wood, Humphreys, Naughton and Ashby were useless in defence in front of him.
The midfield of Grimes, Fulton, Patino and Allen had no idea, and Cullen and Yates were passengers.
It was 5-0 at half-time, could have been more, yet the same players trudged onto the field second-half, no substitutions. where were Rushworth, Tymon (not even on the bench), Pedersen, Darling and Cooper to stop the avalanche and get some fight into the side.
As it turned out Bournemouth didn’t score again, they eased off somewhat as they subbed their best players, but balls continued to rain down on our goal and they had 19 shots in total, 5 on target - 5 goals.
Watson brought in 13 players in the summer and has made us worse than the season before.
I cannot pick out one player from those who played last night that was any good. I would have left them in Bournemouth to find their own way home, they’ve embarrassed the club and the fans.
I fear more of the same for the Leicester away game next Tuesday. Williams doesn’t have a clue how to set up this team, ten goals conceded in the last three games. Come back Sheehan all is forgiven.

This was even more embarrassing than the Southampton first half.
Williams has made us the laughing stock, what kind of set-up and tactics were these.
He said he’d got it wrong, why didn’t he change things earlier? He’s made us worse than we were before.
Organise the defence first before anything else and stop that playing out from the back under the high press, it’s suicidal.

Lost for words boys, worst Swansea team performance I can remember, a total shambles from start to finish.
The club should reimburse those fans that used their hard earned cash to travel all that way and working in the morning.
