Our ability to disappoint after a solid start is legendary but it's not helped by the likes of Root and Bairstow forgetting which end of the bat to hold! Root has been struggling for some time apart from the odd good knock whilst Bairstow’s time may be running out.

Well, they nearly got a half century BETWEEN them! !
Never going to get that total if two of your main batters don't contribute. On to the next test, perhaps they might consider getting a few then, I won't hold my breath in anticipation.
