I doubt that's much different from when we weren't such a basket case of a club. If O'Neill does take the job, he's probably as good a candidate reputation and experience wise that we could attract full stop.

FFS why? On the basis of his stellar managerial career?? He must have suitors fighting amongst themselves for this genius who got sacked by Doncaster in 2015. He's really picked up from then, as by managing no-one at all he has not experienced any further sackings.
Have you unearthed any other gems?

    I'd be happy with him.

Somehow I don't see it happening.

Trouble is ANY manager who thinks he could get a job in the Championship, would consider anything but Rangers and Celtic as not worth their while. Unless they have real belief in themselves that they could make such success of the job that it would enhance their reputation.

Mark Fotheringham being seriously considered apparently. Not sure if the media are putting that down to the fact he was a coach in Germany and the independent review was done by a German company?

Only other experience as a manager was at Huddersfield where he got fired after 5 wins in 21 games,Kenny Miller was his assistant which will be why he was raving about him on the radio at the weekend.

He's in the record today bemoaning not being approached for any of the SPL sides, most notably Aberdeen. He says his CV is superior to Glass/Goodwin/Robson. He's been assistant here and there, including at Fulham and Berlin where he worked under Felix Magath and was sought out by Jürgen Klinsmann to assist with the South Korean national team. Obviously he's pretty well respected in Germany. Sounds like Huddersfield were a bit of a mess (as he was ironically replaced by Warnock who was then sacked himself) and taken over just before they binned Fotheringham. He's got a point about having more experience than Glass and Robson certainly.

He’s got more experience than Glass and Robson because they had never been a manager before they got appointed.

But 21 games as a manager isn’t really something to brag about,it would be going down the route of another rookie manager which isn’t what we need imo.

Just no!!! No more rookie managers we need someone with experience next time. He may well end up being a good manager but let him go prove that somewhere else
