Very strange debut from Blackett-Taylor. Starved of service, didn’t look especially interested off the ball or effective on it. Can’t think who he reminded me of most, Nick Blackman or Florian Jozefzoon. Let’s hope he’s just ‘getting used to the playing style’ we have

Difficult time to join in the midst of a mini crisis. Assume he’ll be unavailable for next week’s trip to the Valley?

I heard he would be available but off a fan so wouldn't rely on it

I was just thinking that, technically, he’s a loanee...so Charlton would have added a clause to prevent him playing against his ‘parent club’ even though it seems inevitable that the deal involves him signing permanently for £300k.

Perhaps based on yesterday they’ll ask for him to play

There isn't a clause stopping him playing against them as effectively its a permanent transfer, just structured as a loan first to meet Derby's financial planning.

It was another very poor performance, not quite sure what's going on, we do have injuries but are they not able to understand what Warne and the coaching staff want them to do?

One bit of good news, Nyambe will be returning soon as Namibia are out of AFCON

This came up during the usual 'Warne Out' section of the radio discussion after the game. Is the coach's job to get the team fit and tell them how in general terms he wants them to play, or is it ALSO to coax/intimidate them into actually making the desired physical effort and playing with an appropriate level of quality? Ultimately a coach will stand or fall based on all the above, but (the more so at lower league levels) if a player hasn't got the mental and/or physical capacity to 'do the right thing' once he crosses that white line what can the coach do unless he's also a psychologist? What makes Collins, by no means our most adept player, at least be consistent in busting his *******s for the cause every week, but someone like Barkhuisen drift in and out of whole games? God knows, and if Warne did he'd be managing Barca not Derby

I don't disagree re work ethic, but sometimes the tactics don't seem to work or its as if the players don't understand what's required.

I'd be surprised if this squad doesn't appreciate what's required at this level, given most have either played the majority of their careers in this league or have had at least a season and a half to understand what's needed to succeed.

There could be an argument about there being too many "flair" players who are easily put off their game by less talented but more robust players which is why Warne seems to want experienced league 1 players. But then Corey-Blackett is a seasoned l1 player and looked as if he didn't ahve a clue what was expected of him.

Something just isn't working at the moment.
