Obviously, hoping for a convincing win. On the other hand, the pitch looks in poor condition and more conducive to the Shrews more "agricultural" style than ours. Add to that both NML and CBT being doubts to start according to Warne, it makes one wonder where the creativity is going to come from. If both are out that will likely see Sibs and Barks as the two wide players with Elder, if fit, taking the left back spot (if we're going 4 at the back). I'll refrain from a prediction until I've seen the starting XI.

Having watched a number games from the PL and the various levels of the EFL over the Xmas/New Year period the pitch is certainly one of the bad ones. Does anyone have any idea why that should be bearing in mind modern agronomy. Not quite up to the BBG goo but after the rain of the last few days waders might be the best footwear!
It seems every game is a potential 'banana skin' at the moment and Shrewsbury is another. As MA says NML provides something different that makes defences jittery so will be big miss. Another tight game, hoping for another narrow win. 2 - 1 will do.

The pitch is a concern, MA. It seemed to improve hugely at the beginning of the Clowes era, but I guess about eight months of wet weather and sun deprivation have taken their toll and although the stadium remains first class, the pitch looks very much ‘third division’ which doesn’t help our cause.
I thought PW suggested he was ‘reassured’ by the report on NML but more cautious about CBT’s groin strain. Without either I agree…we may struggle.
My guess…2-0 with a fit NML…maybe two dropped points without that creative outlet.

1-0. 4 of the other top 6 away from home and Barnsley face form side Orient. It could be a day of glee or on an evening spent ruing missed opportunity...

We have enough about us to win, 2-0 for me, even if NML and CBT doesn't play though CBT playing might make us more relaxed if you know what I mean?
