So as at 20:11pm 30/01 we are now bottom of the league! We are unrecognizable from the team of last season; what a rollercoaster being a football fan is!!

I wasn't expecting us to be blowing away PL teams this season, it was always going to be a struggle to survive, but the fact that Luton have overtaken us and left us behind in such a short space of time is astonishing. If they are making a go of it, leaving us dumped on the bottom, then something has gone seriously wrong. Mr Pace and Vinni would do well to get their heads together and work out just what it is.

I think so Forest, brentford and Palace are not as good as them, not to mention Sheff U, Everton and now us even though we almost had 6 points off them.

I'm not really bothered whether they stay out of the bottom 3 or not, they were 21 pnts behind us last season, now they're 7 pnts in front of us. How has this 28 point swing happened is the question for me. Perhaps Mr Pace, instead of sniffing round clubs in Belgium and Scotland, should be having a close look at Luton, trying to ascertain what they have got right that we so clearly haven't.

You are quite right Sinkov, what have Luton done.

two main signings seem to make the difference.
1) Ross Barkley a very good premier league experienced player.
2) Andros Townsend. He was with us during pre-season and looked a very good find, but was dropped and repleced by Nathan Redmond who has looked nothing like a premier league player.

Was it Kompany who saw something wrong with Townsend, that we did not see, or was it Pace who thought Redmond was a cheaper option. We will never know.

I would have gone with Townsend VC but who am I.Redmond was, as you say, probably £50 cheaper.The rest is history.Luton will stay up in my opinion and that means karma for Townsend.

We had to replace 5 loan signings and Basher - they did not.We splurged £20m on a keeper we didn`t need-they did not.Instead they got a well seasoned PL pro running their midfield in Barkley.It is not rocket science.
