    This forum.

I’ve only been active on this board for bowt 4 years now but can’t help but notice the total lack of activity these days . Why is that you think. Seems a shame but with all what a going on at our club I count only 3 or 4 posts some days. Is it time mot say goodbye. It is what it is I suppose but maybe there’s better boards to go on. Don’t shoot me down just asking. Respect everyone.

I've been dipping in and out for the past, at a guess, 20 years and have also witnessed this forums steady decline.
I remember the days of DonnyValdo, NorthamptonBaggie, BFS (RIP) et al. A load of you guys sailing up the cut on the Baggie barge etc

And despite the insistence from some that the forum could "carry on without them" and "two members don't make a board" the recent departure of Mick and Al were the final nails in the coffin I fear.

I’m a fairly longstanding poster and indeed remember the early days wherein there would be a ‘meet’ pre match at the Sportsman and/or Vine.
Occasional ‘get togethers’ outside of match-days, a couple of barge trips (100% forum members) end of season club dinner, hospitality tables at matches and sadly an attendance at a funeral. Clearly friendships made.
Whilst I’m not a fan of O/T (off topic) posts, I have no issues with them, but generally choose not to participate, preferring to keep the forum football orientated.
Over the years there have been ups and downs and indeed now plenty of alternative ‘forums’. All in all though it suits me to make the occasional comment.

Don’t know why you think there’s a problem? We have lives to live (or try to at least) I enjoy this forum but don’t expect there to not be quiet periods and busy ones. Since COVID it’s been noticed everywhere that people have become more withdrawn in their behaviours. That will affect forums too. Days where you can and days where you can’t.

This place has always had peaks and troughs. Competition with other forms of social media such as Insta, the 'X' formerly known as tw@tter and other football forums will be factors along with the cumbersome nature of the site itself.

This is the only forum/site that I participate on and as I live in Leicester, and not locally, I often am able to obtain information from and hear the views of other Baggies’ fans. I find it informative and interesting and would hate to lose it.

I certainly dont post as much anymore either but I wouldn't be a big poster anyway. I post only on another site which perhaps has even less activity then here, if that were possibly. boingy may be onto something in his post.
I think we have also possibly reacged overload with social media, where upon generally people are beginning to realize thhey may have a serious problem with addiction to this form of media.
I still look in most days.

I've lived in North Wales for nearly 20 years now but don't miss a day without having a look at what's going on at the Hawthorns
