Partly where I hoped the conversation would lead to Ian. Shankland could have scored a lot more goals if we'd given him better service. And Moult is cutting a very frustrated figure right now.

Hard to say we improved Shankland, it's debatable right enough, he was scoring for fun at Ayr before he came to us.

I think we possibly improved his ability to carve out a goal for himself without the likes of McCowan or Moffat teeing him up.

Shankland arguable regressed slightly in his first season, then fell through the floor under Mellon.

He definitely did not regress in 2019/20 his first season, he just continued to improve, and looked fitter than he ever did at Ayr

2020/21 was just a weird season, better level but no crowds just made it a soulless season, I could barely get interested enough to watch games, depressing time the covid season, mellonball kept us up though with help from Benji and that was objective achieved

We made him fitter? Didnt look too shabby when he ripped us a new one one evening.

And season 20/21 being weird has nothing to do with how utter skite the laddie became here and everything to do with where we ended up, but im sure you will come back with something in support of the regime around then!

Surely playing in a side in front of Ian Harkes is going to improve any striker 😎

We turned a few strikers into world beaters last season just by having bereghetti in goal.
