With Molumby now out, Corberan has already expressed the need to bring in another midfielder but our finances are obviously very restricted so the solution to this was likely always going to be taking on an older player. Certainly he has good experience but the moot question is-as Bomber pointed out- if he still has ability, why hasn't he already got a club?

Every player is a gamble, but if Carlos believes he can do a job, we have to trust his judgement. Also, better for us to have him than one of Sunderland, Coventry and Norwich at this time.

You could say this about any player we're looking to sign now. We can only sign free agents. Sounds to me like he'll just be abit of cover should anything happen to one of our holding midfielders.
