O/T Donny airport re opening get ready

That’s all I am saying. It should be reopened for many reasons and we should have an announcement very soon.

    A money pit

It will need millions thrown at it. Money best spent elsewhere

I have only used it once (twice if you include the return trip)

Don't see what all the fuss is about - If it was any good and viable it wouldn't have closed.

It's absolutely farcical that it wasn't viable. The long runway is big enough for long haul and the infrastructure around it makes it one of the most accessible in the UK.

Unfortunately, the airport has been in the hands of Peel Group who are little more than glorified asset strippers. Their agenda was clearly to suck in local authority investment into the surrounding infrastructure, price out airlines, close the airport on the grounds of "unviable" then make a killing selling off what was now prime development land.
