    Happy Charlie Palmer Day…

Today celebrates 30 years since Notts last played Forest in a league game with Notts winning 2-1,the winning goal was scored by the legend that is Charlie Palmer and the only man I’ve ever wanted to kiss

30 years since we played our nearest rivals in a league game and I know that it’s probably never gonna happen again in my lifetime and I can’t even remember Notts ever being a league above Forest in all the years that I’ve supported them

Is there any club that you would like to be playing against again?

    We’ve got Charlie Palmer
    He’s smokes marijuana

Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool, Man/ewe weren’t in the First Division in those days.

Maybe not but we beat Chelsea (2-0 17th Aug) Middlesbrough (2-0 20th Aug) and Spurs (1-0 24th Aug) first three games of the 74-75 season to put us top of the English football league. This was just eight years after our national team had won the World Cup, I doubt I'll live to see either of those events again.

Went to all the London games 73/74 and 74/75 and hardly saw us lose. Now I’m struggling to see us win.

I wouldn’t expect you to understand bdb as your two closest rivals Bury and Oldham you’ve played relatively recently in league games,Forest are our closest and biggest rivals that are just over the river and are that close I can see The City Ground from where I sit at Notts,to have not played them in over 30!years in the league and probably I won’t get to see it again is sad in my eyes,40+ years of supporting Notts and I never saw them in a league above Forest and never will,Forest fans outnumber Notts easily 5/1 if not more but the last time that we played them we won and there’s nothing that they can do about,it’s the only thing that gives me pleasure on the subject

Frank moans about Cambridges success and wants them to fail but I’m the opposite so how can I be like him?
