    Hull City Post Match Thoughts

For 70 minutes tonight that faintest glimmer of hope for this season seemed to be gaining a few lumens but with a missed chance to go 2-0 up followed in rapid succession by a calamitous error in judgement the flame was snuffed out with some aplomb. At least we tried something different you could say but at the end of the day the result is still the same, zero points and we are edging ever closer to the relegation precipice.

    Thoughts?

Think positive, less than 3 months until the end of the season.

We were so slow all over the pitch. Hull were first to everything and brushed aside our pathetic forward line. We can't win games if there's no one capable of latching onto a ball and putting it in the net. Worst bunch since the Stubbs era

Why didn’t they just roll over in the first half. It’s the hope that does for you.
Was getting mildly excited after 70 minutes but should have known better.

The old 2 bus syndrome strikes again. You wait for one bus and then two come at once.

Viking must be in despair. All the good work comes to nought.

The sooner this season finishes the better.

Horrendous in the last 25 minutes or so.

I actually thought we could hang on for a win, but Rathbone’s awful error of judgement put paid to that and then we just lost the plot. A handful of decent performances from us, Viktor, Revan , Kioso, Clucas, Humphries, but it’s not enough sadly

Rathbone is to blame for this..

As someone else said, we were so slow all over the pitch, not just physically but mentally as well.

We just don't react to things quickly enough. It's a cliche but we don't play with our heads. We don't press whatsoever, we just sit deep and then hoof it long only to let them stroll 20 yards unchallenged into our half again. Where the **** was the pressure on the ball when we're leading 1-0? They seemed far quicker to the ball and just more switched on generally.

Ultimately it comes down to quality and we don't have enough at this level.
