    Fabrizio reports on Dan Ashworth

Breaking news from Fab this morning. Claiming Manure are about to make there move for Ashworth.
Supposedly already had posotive talks and are now ready to make an offer.
Not sure how I feel about this as we've made him a major part in our rebuild. If he goes it feels like a bit of a backwards step and something I didn't imagine happening now we have the wealth we do.

It’s not good if he goes but I’m sure he could be replaced if he does.

I think financially he’s making a mistake if he leaves, if he helps put together a really good squad that will be successful I’m sure he’d be rewarded handsomely and I think that Jim Radcliffe fella is coming in all big balls, not sure if he’s going to be all he’s made out to be.

I don't think he'll go. I know Manure have the glitter of the past but these days they are no more than an ordinary goodish club but with no better prospects than we have.

I'd like to think that he'll look at the setups, compare the managers, the squads, the future prospects and the anonymity that most apart from the manager and players have there, he'll realise he's better off here.

A big loss if we do lose him but money talks on top of in the know friendship which apparently Ashworth has close bonds with Ratcliffe.
My take is always the same. Anyone who wants out of the club can go without much else of a thought from me.

The difference with our club now and before the takeover is, we are a forward thinking club so will soldier on instead of just stagnating with the old regime.

Ashworth isn't the only good footballing strategist and developer.
Let's see what occurs now the Man utd part share has been agreed with Ratcliffe.

I assume there would be a period of Gardening leave as Brighton imposed on the deal when he joined us.

It's a tough situation, we're a great project but from a non-Newcastle fan the Man U rebuild has to be considered as the pinnacle of Football Governance.

He would be a big loss but not the end of the world. The PiF would have a list of the best of the best to replace Dan.

Let's see if he want to 'finish the job' with NUFC, to take us to a place where we are genuine long term contenders for the title and competitive in Europe on a yearly basis or restore the Salford club's former monopoly.

    Time will tell, I guess

I didn’t know he had bonds with Radcliffe if that is true surely he would have known this could be on the cards before he joined.

Man Utd can spend billions in the transfer market too

It really looks like he’s going there, a little bit pi$$ed off about it to be honest.

My feeling if he goes its because he will be allowed to spend a lot more there.

It seems to be moving very fast but, it's all in the media - now, I don't doubt their is no smoke without fire but I don't think it's quite as done yet as we're being told it.

It could well happen fast mind - but we'll get a hefty compensation package and we'll put him on gardening leave as well.

Annoying as **** it'll be to Man Utd though.

Apprently we're looking at Michael Edwards as a potential replacement - the ex-Liverpool Sporting Director, left in 2021.
