Romared Match Thoughts--Barnsley-v-Derby

1st Half
I’ll not say much.
Derby are really pi.ss poor - as they were at Derby and rely on a bit of passing skill from an OLD head.
Only chance they have of winning is from a spot kick eg corner.

Barnsley are just making hard work of it.
As usual over complicating things going forward - tippy tappy.
Especially Kane - who has been put through into great positions and if he had owt about him (shooting or passing opportunities) we should certainly be 3 - 1 up by now.

We are more or less sound in defence.
But we need a change to untangle and uncomplicate things going forward.
Grant for Kane.
Cosgrove for Philips..
Marsh for McAtee.

2nd Half
Oh dear. Two poor teams.
Lots of running about and effort - but little else.
Derby only started putting the effort in after Barnsley scored.
Phillips did nothing all game except score 2 good goals. The 2nd was a brilliant header.

Not convincing.
But again ……. WE WON !!!

Another great result. Possibly not the highest quality game but doesn’t matter when we win. Another comeback too then!

Great atmosphere at the end and throughout really.

I’ve said before automatics are possibly beyond us but if we can repeat that result against Bolton then we certainly have a chance.

A very good performance effort wise with most of the lads completing 90 mins were almost legless at the end. A great group of players giving their all. A big well done lads.
Mr Collins now putting this top six performance myth almost to bed.
I did say earlier in the season let’s see how the return fixtures pan out.

Enjoyable game, great result and great atmosphere, but I wish Cosgrove would learn that he’s no good at trying to con the referee by going to ground every time a player gets near him, plus I don’t mind him giving fouls away as much as he does providing its in their half of the field.

Why oh why can we never take the game to teams like this, why are we always so on the back foot? We are second in the league; we should have gone to Oakwell full of confidence and swagger. Barnsley are the sum total of f*** all and yet we gave them too much respect.*
Its the Derby way every season, bottling the crunch games.

As per usual Chops contribution involves nothing whatsoever other than an attack on someone that’s given their opinion.
Does he give an opinion of his own - never.

As for seeing a doctor there has been certain posts recently about people that had to do just that.
