    Torquay United.

Having worked in the South West on a regular basis I am dismayed that Torquay United have been placed in administration today.

Would it not be prudent that some league clubs enter into agreements with some of these non league clubs to provide game time via loans for minimal loan fees or no fees at all for younger players to gain some match experience.

Helen Chamberlain will be lost for words. She will be fingering herself to an almighty orgasm if they can be saved. 😁

Sad to hear, I hope they fare better than Bury did.

I thought this was a thread about where Burnley will be playing next season.

I think something like that would be a good idea VC. Something has to be done to control the dominance of the wealthy clubs over our game. The NFL has a salary cap which would be a start imo

The "NFL salary cap" always makes me smile Tap.

How often do I read "new quarter back agrees five year deal worth $75 million"?

Rochdale AFC in trouble as well. In a week when the media circus are in town to cover a by-election with more joke candidates than you will find in a box of Christmas crackers perhaps they will manage to cover some real local issues of importance. The sooner we get a Regulator in to deal with the horrendous inequalities in the football pyramid the better as far as I am concerned.

One of the ironies of life is people bemoaning the demise of the high street and then they do their shopping on Amazon. It is the same with the corner shop. It is more convenient to go to the supermarket.

Whilst it is sad to see the plight of a team like Torquay, there is clearly not enough local support for the club. It would be interesting to know how many supporters they would need through the turnstiles to remain viable. Should football in general be subsidising a local club where there is insufficient local interest?
