We might be but bottom 2 cant play us every week so wont get 47 points !!

This is what happens when you switch systems all the time confuse the sh*t out of players under LW it was same system same drills and players know their roles.

They might not be good at them but they still know this guy is moving players all over place and it isnt working id just go back to how we were and go Keegan style we cant defend so just attack.

Well he did try that, by leaving LW's team intact for the first few games. But now he's scrambling everything. I'm glad he's not doing my telecoms cabling. I'd be left living in a cave.

Actually that's a good point and it might explain more than one "new manager bounce". We were arguably still overperforming our budget when he arrived. We didn't sack the last manager he was poached by a team two leagues above us... so SM's walked into a much tougher prospect than turning around an underperforming team.

I really have no idea why we are so bad or what we might do to try & improve. Suppose we will just about survive this season.

Exactly, it was all reputation of actions on the training ground. Players would know where other players were on the pitch without looking. Now no one has a clue who's going to be where. Moving the formation around all through the game is utter madness!! I hope Maynard kept his BT uniform as he may be needing it soon.

Predictably the "Telecom engineer" jibes have started but surely Montague is to blame, he chose this appointment and chose not to strengthen adequately in January.

I believe the brothers might have had the main say as they pay the wages. They also said they'd been following Stuarts progress over the years.

Still no post match interview, Stall on now being asked about fans reaction to Maynard's 1 point from 9 at home and he's saying they were 'disgruntled'. Mentions it's too early to judge but also that "Fans will only give managers so much time."

Yes SM has had tough fixtures but that's offset by the fact most managers arrive with the club struggling at the wrong end of the table under pressure to get points to survive. We were 6th the day he arrived.
Not known for sacking mangers quickly- it took over 2 years for them to get rid of Ardley
Yes we were 6th the day he arrived, but not really several teams could have passed us if they had won their games in hand , so the real position was 8th or 9th
SM was alawys on for a rough start, a team in freefall before he arrived, a tough run of fixtures to come, sometimes managers( Headcoaches in this case ie less responsibility) come in with a easier set of fixtures
but for me its the attitude of the Notts supporters as a whole, in fact it hasnt changed since the Hardy/Nolan days and long before.
For some reason many supporters seem to think its a right we should be pushing for promotion from L2, and when this does not happen the knives soon come out , we only just come up from the NL having been there for 4 years- have a bit of patience - promotion will take 3 or 4 years - look at Stags it took them 8 years to get to where they are
