Totally agree, i worked in Manchester for a couple of years in the 70's, large Jewish influence in Manchester,
but it never had any bearing in the local politics.
All this has arisen since the turmoil in Gaza and our politicians are frightened to upset anyone, we are more concerned about our image
to the rest of the world.
Where do we go from here, a resurgence of the "Blackshirts"??

Catholicism was given serious competition from the Muslims hence the Crusades. Then Catholicism faced opposition from Presbyterianism, and now it looks like Christianity is having to find a way to live with those who have different faiths and those who have no faith.

Think the Blackshirts and the Nazis were based on creating an enemy that they identified as harming the economic prospects of their supporters. Jews were target and it feels as though it may be happening again.

Don't think there is a solution, however, it does feel like our leaders lack the power to bang heads together and confront theocratic and dictators.
They lack the power, imo, because MSM is hostile to the Governments in the countries that allow them to use the power of free speech. If they tried any of the free speech stuff in a theocracy or a dictatorship they would be in jail.

It was mentioned on the TV last week that there are 40,000 Muslims in the Rochdale constituency.
That seemed a lot to me but if it is correct then the Muslims are close to taking over in Rochdale.

Close to taking over?? If you had done your homework( Now where have i heard that one?) you would know that Rochdale constituency has a population of 107,928 which 80,000 are eligible to vote.

The borough of Rochdale has a poulation of 223,700.

Doing proper research isn't Islay's strongest attribute. He's decided that 'the Muslims' are close to taking over in Rochdale and any evidence to the contrary will be ignored completely by him. However expect him to 'enclose' some absolute nonsense link that backs up his theory in a purely tentative and sketchy way.

Yes that would be par for the course, or either deflect and ramble on about another totally unrelated subject.

I would say they're in far more control in Rochdale than they are in London. I was talking to a bricky from Kent while I was on holiday and he said it's horrendous in the home counties, his area was overrun with Somalians.
