I know over the last couple of years we have found some gems through this recruitment model in terms of Langstaff, Rodrigues, Scott etc but there have been so many more duff signings.
Had last summer the brothers enabled LW to make his own signings, would that have created more ‘hits’ in terms of successful signings than what the model has produced. Over the last 12 months it seems to be working at about a 20% success rate (Jones, Crowley, McGoldrick & Robertson I would call successful signings) if you combine loans and permanent signings, that drastically needs to improve and Montgague surely has to take responsibility for that.
