Dennis Bergkamp Among Consortium to Buy a Lower League Club.

Dennis Bergkamp is amomg ex-players / head coaches / manager / football agent, looking
to buy a lower league club in England, such as a EFL league one & two side.

    The consortium consists of -

Ex-Arsenal player Dennis Bergkamp, Ex-Liverpool player Dirk Kuyt,
Ex-Celtic & Manchester United player Henrik Larsson

Ronald Koeman - Manager - Ex-player having played for -
Groningen, Ajax, PSV, Barcelona - 192 goals in 535 games.
Managed the Netherlands National team, plus up**** European clubs + 2 English clubs.

    Dutch Agent - Rob Jansen

There are 5 people named in the consortium, but one or two others may join.

Dutch Agent Rob Jansen said, on podcast that the consortium are in the process of buying
a club in England, but not allowed to say who, with EFL league one or two being the
    prefered league.
Larsson, Kuyt & Berkamp tried to buy Wycombe Wanderers in 2019, but were unsuccessful,
the three along with the rest hope to revive their plans, with a Northern club being most
likely target, within the Manchester / Birmingham areas.
They plan to manage the football club, with Berkamp setting up the academy.

Thoughts could they have a interest in the Millers, with the club looking at the trap-door
into league one, a club with a good new stadium, in need of a new training ground, short
of a well thought out academy, not in debt.
But would Tony Stewart sell up, or allow the consortium to buy into the club, with him
    being the figurehead.
Could the ex-players bring fans into the stadium, especially with Berkamp bringing his
style of football coaching into the club.

[ Could the failed sale of Wycome Wanderers to Larsson, Kuyt & Berkamp, be down to that
Adams Park, was left to the fans, after the death of chairman & owner Frank Adams, being
now the ownership of the ground is Frank Adams Legacy Ltd ]

    Good thread.
It will be interesting which English team they choose?

Exciting as it sounds, I personally wouldn't want them buying Rotherham.

I would gladly pay £500 a year for my ST if Bergkamp took over.

He was a genius of a player.

Imagine the quality of coach and structure Bergkamp would implement?

Remember his background coming through the Ajax system

    He was technically brilliant

This is exactly what we need. Can't believe some Millers fans would be against this.

Why don't they buy a lower league club in the Netherlands?

    Why?!?!?!

What about the current set-up makes you think a group of wealthy, smart ex-pro's with a solid understanding of how the world's best youth systems operate would take us backwards? I'd stick some of my own cash in to that sort of venture.
