    Ashworth - Compensation

Looks like Man Utd have blinked first and are now willing to meet the £20 million.

I'd rather take the hit and make sure he can't do anything this coming transfer window for them as he'll know all our strategies and plans.

He will, but I don't doubt for a second he'll have told them anyway.

Take the money to offset against ffp, I say.

I think we ought to put it up to something SILLY, after all every time we have tried to do a genuine deal with Manure they have quoted prices way beyond normal. Let's get our own back with a silly quote then if they want him bad enough they can bleed.

After all they have always over the years had plenty of dosh to waste on dozens of other projects

    Fair point.

Don't know why that didn't occur actually

After the loan fee they wanted for the last 6 months of Lingard’s contract, let Ashworth rot until after the summer window shuts at least.

But in all honesty, more than happy to see him on gardening leave for the entire duration of his notice period.

After all, they were willing to let a player, who’s been a servant to their club… that wanted to leave to jump start his career, to rot kicking a ball about with their under 18s.

18-24 months is a nice long time to be out of football for Ashworth.

£20 million? That’ll do. Our new Director of Football should bring his own new ideas. Ashworth can tell Manyoo whatever he wants.

Our best signings was made, or already in the pipeline, before Ashworth was signed.

He did ok, but nothing more.

Overhyped guy. Must be many better out there.
