Good servants as players doesn't say they'll make good coaches at the same club.

What was it MT said to the camera in that stern matter of fact way he had
" No one will get more out of this set of players than me"
He was bang on. Look how close the bottom half of league is above us, if Taylor had stayed and fixed up the injury crisis in the January window we would probably be 2 or 3 wins from the rest of the relegation pack. We would still have something to fight for and be getting more out of his players.
Taylors band of misfits and mercenaries were brought in with the view of igniting individual careers. They were given short contracts and a championship platform to do the next Ogbene or Barlaser. That's the culture MT banked on this season. It started wobbling and cost him his job but he should have had the season to see it out.

But they are better than hired mercenaries.

Don’t think Rotherham have stagnated more not moved forward. Rotherham have had success since we moved to the nys but also relegations . It seems one step forward then one step back .

But a staggering lack of ambition.

Even with Warne’s appointment it was the soft option of giving the job to the fitness coach

Just read a comment on another forum, “players have downed tools”. It’s true. How can we move forward with these clowns?

    We have become an embarrassment.

We only managed to attract a manager that's been out of work for over a year. What makes you think Duff would even want to work under RUFC constraints? What is even more scary is what if LR said no as well? The rot at RUFC goes far beyond the manager and recruited players
