Interesting. He’s done way more than Lai in just one month. Open, involved, patient and with long term plans. Good interview, and well done Shilen for making yourself so available.

This is a fantastic interview if you haven’t already listened.

Our owner is not your typical wealthy owner, this guy really understands football and our club.

Clever man, really switched on and very likeable.

We’ve got a top bloke here, we couldn’t have dreamed of a better man to own us.

I listened to it on the night it was broadcast, a thoroughly likeable person who is a family man (aren't we all) as well as a sports nut. I feel he wont bankroll the club but he wont let us go to the wall either. I think we are in safe hands.

An interesting listen. His experiences with Bologna (even given the cultural differences between Italy and the UK) means that he is going into this with his eyes open and is already aware of many of the issues that running a football club entail, including that of managing expectation. I like the impression of realism and of measured response he gives as well as the focus he puts on long term stability rather than instant promotion. Undoubtedly he wants success but it's also about building blocks.

Very clearly, he also has an altruistic side and I think that the broadening of the Albion Foundation and Academy wider afield into both new domestic and foreign areas is exciting. Using existing connections he already has, this could simultaneously help provide an access route to help the more disadvantaged whilst building and spreading the WBA brand. He very clearly sees the still mostly untapped business opportunities that European, and UK football particularly, present globally.

The proof, of course, will be in the pudding, but I like the cut of your jib sir!😁

    Thanks for posting Soulman 👍

Ps Hope you are feeling better after your dental visit
