Would love to see this team take the lead v one of the old firm at Dens just to see if it made a big difference.

On a more personal note I really wished we wud stop allowing teams ( especially the old firm ) to play to their fans in the 2nd half......still think it makes a significant difference if they are still needing a goal.

Agree. Superstition that shooting into the TCK end in the second half was more likely to produce a win for us. Grandfather has a lot to answer for this pearl of wisdom from 1953! Be interesting to learn that some Statto could prove it was true. Don't want to know if it isnae true.

We seem to prefer shooting to own fans 2nd half but it's a big advantage to give away to Celtic, Rangers, hearts......and even Aberdeen who were kak and made to look worse by us still had a go shooting to own fans last few mins.

No away team is gonna win toss and shoot downhill 1st half so it's really up to us......I'd change it against the 4 teams mentioned above.

I can remember in the 1960’s and early 70’s we used to often play ‘downhill’ towards the TC Keay end during the second half.
We used to stand at the Provie Road end and change ends at halftime walking through the long grass below the South Enclosure.
We used to meet Away supporters going in the opposite direction but there was no trouble.

Yep. But trouble was beginning to rear its ugly head. Bad feeling between Hearts and Hibs as well as the OF fans created a type of football supporter who wanted to cause trouble. Dees were not bothered at all by United fans in those days because they were a 2nd division team. Bit like Man U who could ignore Man City, until the big money owners took over at Man City and changed the balance of power.

It's funny that until Klopp, Liverpool had not won a championship for 30 years 1990 to 2020
