    Brentford and the Ref

A much better display but how much it was due to Brentford having a man sent off I am not too sure. Liability is O’Shea his control and passing is terrible surely bringing back McNally would prove a better proposition. The one thing that worried me throughout the game was the ref Darren Bond he was terrible and very inconsistent. And although it made no difference - not to give the back pass was ridiculous. I have to say some of these refs are incompetent and should be sacked or demoted and not to do so just aggravates both players and fans

THe back pass was played within the Laws of the Game governing what is and is not a back pass. No offence committed.

Tha back pass was with his knee and legal tbh and I have to say much as O’Shea made two errors after this e he had a very good game against a big strong boy in Ivan Toney

He's one big dirty unit. I thought he should have seen a red for the foul on Muric when he was on the floor.

Studied the back pass a bit Lancaster and in O’Shea s defence Trafford always stays- stayed central to his goal whereas Muric was making an angle to receive and help the defence ( not an excuse as shouldn’t play it blind - but I can see why it happened).

When we return to the Championship O'Shea will find his level. He is nowhere near to being an EPL quality centre-back.

It's a bit alarming that last summer we identified him as one that was. There are numerous defenders in the PL who, have made the step up from the lower divisions, but we manage to find one that can't.

There's another one at Brentford who was also one of ours. Nathan Collins.
