The capacity of the old Tannadice was roughly 28,000 funnily enough the same number we took to Hampden in 2010.Even if we managed to shoehorn every single one of them in for the Raith game i doubt it would make any difference to the current shower wearing our shirts. In fact it would probably be too much for most of them to cope with.

Spartans was not hyped, no one was overly fussed about the group stage as such, was all prep for the league, it also made us go get another CB in Gallagher thankfully

Yes we haven't had a good record in certain games but can't compare the split games to this season unless you want to blame the manager for it all, I blame the players and goalie last year, they reverted to gifting goals away after 3 wins in a row pre split

A could of those games were unlucky aswell, QOTS was definitely, Raith away recently was a good performance, offside goal got them the lead, they done nothing for another 75 mins then a wonder goal he'll never score another in his career

I'm not totally disagreeing but bit strange to throw in games from last season with diff players and the goalie when it wasn't his team and it seemed the two week break before the split affected us and allowed St Johnstone to get a new manager in for a bounce, and group games that are very much pre season friendlies in our circumstance this season of just going down and building a team to win the league which we still may have done

If (it's definitely an if) we win the league, it won't matter what games we won to get there, if we beat Raith but finish second, no one will say "ah unlucky cos we won that big game a few weeks ago", if we lost again to Raith but won the league we'd be extatic on may 3rd, obviously would be better we done both but the head to head vs one club means nothing if we come 1st ultimately

Doesn't matter if we were unlucky or not the fact remains that in big games recently our record is very poor. It's hard for me to see how anyone can argue against that and nothing you've said on it here make me think any differently.

I’m seeing that on Pie and Bovril that RR fans are claiming that Utd have done this because we’ve ‘schat the bed’ about having a larger travelling support in attendance. I think it’s more that the Club are seriously pissed off with RR this season over various ‘antics’ on and off the pitch and this is a get it right up ye’ in response. I genuinely think it’s as simple as that.

It's not strange to throw in the games from last season when I was CLEARLY talking about the players AND the manager. I could've thrown in Darvel and Hibs as well. All pointing at one thing. Doesn't matter what team he has on the park, his big game record is clear for all to see and the players seem to have the same issues this season.

Spartans wasn't hyped? Are you serious? Our first game of the new season. Our first game to see how the team had recovered from relegation. Sell out. David vs Goliath. Come on man, stop clutching at straws.

    Never mind crowd numbers etc.
If we need an incentive to **** Raith Rovers think on Hamilton wiping out Walton at Stark's.
With his close-up subbie mates all celebrating the assault.
And the pathetic social media aftermath.
Then think no more & get ripped in.

Its been a PR disaster for the club not coming out an explaining their reasoning, fans of other clubs are also jumping on the bandwagon ridiculing us. All it seems to have served is less revenue for United and given hyped up Raith a rallying cause for the game.

Exactly, it’s backfiring and getting them fired up!

    Ian Murray in today's press:

"It looks like a club decision from Dundee United who are trying to pull out all the stops to give them a little bit of an advantage to get over the line.

You can look at it two ways. It's a wee bit silly, a wee bit naughty but on the flip side they're doing everything they can to turn the tide in their favour.

If you look at their mentality, we now know publicly that we've got them a little bit rattled going into the last seven games."
