Leicester now charged with alleged breaching of financial rules.

What a time for the FA to put this to them. Thing is though in the 12 months up to May 2022 they lost a club record £92.5m.
The year previous they lost £33.1m so, they've breached the £105 Million allowed over three seasons and who knows what their accounts are like for this season. Spend, spend, spend win at all costs, is it worth it?

If and when found guilty, they'll probably get docked four points. If it had been us we'd be hammered til we ended up playing on Barkers Park. Meanwhile I can't wait for Petrodollar (previously known as Manchester) City to get their come uppance

If there are any points deductions I would have thought they would be " banked" until Leicester get back into the premiership

They'll get a slap on the wrist.

There just needs to a be calculation which looks at profit and loss. Teams making a loss over a set item of revenue should be docked points at the end of the season.

Not sure if any of you have read the full item but it goes on to say ‘ because Leicester were not part of the Premier League when the new 'standard directions' were adopted, which also prescribe a timeline when cases should be heard, the independent commission will set the timescale.

It means that the case, including any appeals, could run beyond the end of this season and may see sanctions, if applicable, enforced next season’

So like Grist says, and of course if they’re found guilty, it will probably happen once they get back in the Premier League.

Leicester have now counteracted by starting legal proceedings against the FA and the EFL. This should be a long drawn out affair then, enough so it won't affect them this season as they attempt to get back into the Premier league.

The current sanctions clearly are not a sufficiently effective deterrent given how frequently this seems to be happening

We're slagging our chairman, yet I'll bet everyone else in this league are fielding teams they can't afford. We should be awarded the title on moral grounds
