May be controversial to say but I'd like to skip Europa altogether next year to have a proper run at getting the CL the following year. Like we did last year.

Yeah, I kinda get it, but also think we shouldn’t (assuming a medical department overhaul) see such a sh!t list of injuries in future seasons… and any European games adds to our European coefficient… meaning we’d have a chance of not ending up in the bottom pot if we make the CL in the future.

We’ve got to grow the club and that means featuring in Europe really, or we’ll always be behind the teams that are and have been for a very long time… and it makes us a more attractive club for transfers.

Say we bring in 4 first team quality players this summer, that’s a big boost to the squad and gives us more strength in depth.

But if we had another season of bad injuries I’d probably be cursing being in Europe… so I get the point 😆

I don't know what to think about this, really.
No Europa League equals more focus on the Premiership (and indeed the domestic cups). Sounds good, plus I don't give a shyte who does what in the Europa League.
What I don't know is what effect that would have on our future spending. Would a decent run in the Europa League next year give us a meaningful financial boost for the following season? Would it also make us more attractive to players - both getting new players in and keeping the top ones we've got??
Not a clue.....
