Hi all. I hope you don't mind me posting here. My Dad Peter Kane played for Crewe and other teams many moons ago. He now sadly has Alzheimer's and I am looking for memories to talk to him about, if anyone has any good stories? Thanks in advance 😊

All the best to both of you.
I believe he was at Crewe from Jan 1964 til Jun 1967.
Couple of things to talk about for you ....
In the 63-64 season, Crewe finished 3rd in the (then 3rd Division) - just missing out on promotion.
And in the 64-65 season, Terry Harkin scored (a club record) 34 goals.
Good (tidy) Player, by the way !!
I can just about remember him, he was a strong inside forward with a pretty good goalscoring record for us. I'm pretty sure that he was my favourite player at that time and must have made us pretty potent when playing alongside Terry Harkin.
I noticed that on 10th October 1959 he represented a Great Britain team against a Caribbean X1 at Portman Road. The result was 7-3 with Peter bagging a hattrick. That must have been an extremely proud moment for him.
Aww thank you guys for taking the time to reply! I will read out all the comments to my Dad. Thank you for the well wishes too 🙏
