ELK, they quote a delivery time of weeks, so get you to apply early. .........Mine came in 2 weeks.

Just checked mine need to renew in 2026 then again, I guess, in 2028.

I applied in 2021 when reaching 70, so due again this year 2024.

So every 3 years mate

First issued, as Photo Licence in 2016.
10 year "life" so re-new in 2026

Not 70 (fingers crossed) until 2028 when I assume I'll have to renew again

Just applied for my new driving licence, due 24th June 2024

Done online no problem, same as I did in 2021.

But take note - My entitlement to drive is

Minibuses up to 16 passengers
Minibuses on a voluntary basis [ If passed my category B test after 1-1-97 ]
Medium size vehicles between 3.5 & 7.5 tonnes [ and trailers ]

But -

If I want to retain this entitlement, I cannot renew my driving licence online, if
I don't want this entitlement, the DVLA will renew my car entilement only.

So I have gone just for car entitlement only.

You can apply up to 90 days before you want to get a new driving licence at
70 years & over.

My application gone through no problem, just got to cut up old driving licence
when I receive new one, & send back to DVLA.

On checking number of days to my birthday I was able to renew my driving licence.
