    The Murphy Era

I guess time will tell for Peter Murphy but his opening message was considered and more about imposing his style of play rather than the players condition. A breath of fresh air coupled with changes behind the scenes brings cause for optimism for next season. Mon the South 👏👏.

An excellent and refreshing first interview from Mr Murphy unlike the gentleman before him.

I wish him well in his new job.
Here’s to new beginnings at Palmerston.

    I certainly wish him well.

I can see the local derbies having quite a bit of spice to them.

Will Wullie Gibson become the Annan manager?

Murphy will bring his backroom staff with him that includes Colin McMenamin , Alan Casey and goalkeeping coach Jon Connelly.

I’m hearing he plans to move training down to Dumfries next season. Wonder if he’s planning on a more local based players model including his contacts from the North of England ?

The big problem for the last 2 or 3 seasons has defo been player recruitment with lots of bang average players signed and others who were very injury prone (does anyone check this) so hopefully Mr Murphy and his staff will improve this situation big style..

Perhaps we should rename this thread the McLinden https://www.qosfc.com/news-6389
What a contrast from Hewitson who we barely heard from during his reign and never seemed interested in the state of the ground, never using his employees to help with maintenance. Let's hope that his promises are kept and his ambitions are met. looking forward to seeing how the new directors are and their background.
Very interesting comments regarding the Tanner Fund who felt shunned by this man after having promised to sit down and talk with them.
I pray that this is not another false dawn but if he sticks to his many words we can only go in an upward direction after many years for decay both on and off the field. Mon the South.
