    Wales

I have just watched Wales lose on penalties to Poland. The first Polish penalty was taken by Lewandowski, who actually stopped in his run up; surely that should invalidate the penalty? Another woeful referee, though.

The point I’m making is about the penalty, lots of players do it now, they have a slight pause in their run up, I always believed that was not allowed when taking a penalty! Have the laws of football changed in recent years in that respect.

You can stop/start/pause during the run up itself but you're not allowed to stop dead in front of the ball and take the kick while standing stationary.

Come on, keep up Ketts. They allowed stopping in the penalty run uo at the sane time they decided to allow wrestling players to the ground at set pieces and holding players arms and shirts when jockeying them!

Seem to remember us being held up as a football laughing stock when Laurie Sanchez managed NI to victory against us during Eriksson's tenure, one of only three occasions when they've managed to beat us from memory. And it wasn't a friendly either.

In fairness, we have been described as “laughing stock” on multiple occasions during my football supporting career.

We became extremely adept at getting that accolade over a concerted period…..I suspect we’ll rediscover our form in that regard sometime soon.

Yeah exactly Mick, I think the same about the pair of them, McWales and Scotchland as well.
Respect has got to be earned hasn't it and I've never heard their fans give us much, if any, in my time.
I was giving it loads last night and laughing my head off at the Welsh. And I admit it's not clever, but its only what they are constantly asking for back from us!. 😕

I spend plenty of time at my place in Tenby Acid and in general, in everyday life the locals in that part of Wales are nice people.

The problems arise on international rugby and football days when the morons from the valleys arrive, they absolutely hate the English.

I’ve gone from wanting home nations to all do well to despising their sporting teams.

It’s funny how they support the England and Wales cricket team though despite the sad lack of Welsh cricketers in the side throughout history.
